What an awsome shot of Miaka! I love the contrast of the colors in this cel, plus the special effects are stunning. This cel is also huge, it doesn't fit in my biggest celbook. O_o Since in this scene the colors in the bg change, they made two oversized cels for the shot, and made a Miaka cel for each (which is why Marcus has one just like it, in case one was wondering. It confused me for awhile before I recieved the cel. ^^;) Minus the BG changing and the lightning special effects, Miaka is a still shot. This is one of the few scenes where Miaka actually kicked butt for once instead of whining and complaining her way through a situation. The Suzaku gang is heading away from Konan in order to retrieve the Shinzaho, which will enable Miaka to be able to summon Suzaku from the heavans. However along the way, Soi interferes with their journey, by causing a huge lightning storm. She uses her powers to paralyze everyone but Miaka on deck, so she may kill her right before their eyes. However Miaka realizes that she has Hotohori's holy sword with her, and uses it to repel an otherwise fatal lightning attack right back at Soi, much to her surprise. Thus Miaka actually saves the day for once. ^_- |
