Suboshi, TV episode 47
"You've led me on quite a chase, Priestess of Suzaku!"
This year has been very lucky for me in terms of FY cels... I have aquired wishlist cels that I would never have dreamed of owning.
I am so very thankful to Midori for bringing out so many beautiful and breathtaking cels for sale, you have fulfilled the wishes of
so many FY collectors, including myself!
With that said, all I can say now is how very much in love with this cel I am. Never in my wildest
dreams did I ever think I would find such a beautiful cel of Suboshi in his alternate outfit, AND with his Ryuuseisui weapon visable! Not to mention
this is an A-1 Key End pan cel with matching background, and in such great condition! @_@ Oh my goodness. The colors with the yellows, browns and blues
are so very breathtaking when matched together like this.
That deliciously evil smile he has on his face is absolutely priceless to me. XD I've been wanting a Suboshi cel with this kind of expression
for a long time. I'm also a huge fan of this outfit, which appears far less than his usual blue and orange one. The fact that this scene takes place
in Miaka's world makes it all the more rare, PLUS the fact that this is one of Suboshi's final episodes to appear in. *sniff*
This episode is pretty prolific, actually. Mitsukake kicks the bucket, and it's also the same episode where Tamahome realizes he is only a character in a book, and not real human. When he
finds this out, he takes off on his own, leaving Miaka behind and all alone while they are both in her world. As he muses and deliberates his own
worth of humanity, Miaka trolls the streets in search of beloved. Whom she finds instead however, is Suboshi. This poor boy is still hell bent
on murdering Miaka for the sake of his lady Yui, and attacks her right there on the city steets.
In this cel, Suboshi has Miaka pinned down with the help of his roped weapon, the Ruiiseisui. The look of evil and satisfaction on his face pretty much
explains it all. ^_^; Of course, Tamahome comes in at the last second and saves the day, and blah bah blah. All I know is that Suboshi eventually
gets run through by his own weapon, and the entire world (or just me) bawled and swore their undying love to this poor, poor character. ;_;
