This cel was really a dream come true. It took me many, many years to finally get a nice romantic cel of Tamahome and Miaka from the TV series. I couldn't ask for anything more perfect - they're hugging, Tamahome's in my favourite outfit, AND you can see his full ponytail in all its detail glory. Thank you so very much, Remi! I'm so truely in your debt for letting me bring this one home. This cel is slightly oversized (it pans down eventually as Miaka collapses), and the background is unmatching. However, it very closely matches the original, so I paired it up with this cel. :3 At this point, Miaka had left Tamahome, Chichiri and Nuriko behind in order to go to Kotou alone, so she can find Yui. She's determined not to get the others involved so no one else will be hurt just because she's the Priestess of Suzaku. However, while in the forest, she gets attacked by a tiger, and Tamahome appears to save her. Obviously Miaka is not pleased to have been followed, but Tamahome admits just how much he cares for her, and how much he missed her while she was gone for those three months when she left their world. This embrace is really sweet, and this is even one of those moments where they play a vocal song in the background. I couldn't be happier! |
