Name: ThornWhip 1, 2, 3 Damage: Variable (see text) Codes: (1) B, S, T, W, Y, * (2) B, D, N, S, W, * (3) B, H, P, W, X, * Attribute: Wood (duh) Descrption: ThornWhip is a slowish attack with the range of a LongSword - forward two spaces. The damage it does, however, is dependent on the number of Wood chips in your current folder. Version 1 does 5 times, 2 does 10 times, 3 does 15 times... So if you're really fanatical about Wood chips, you can potentially do 450 damage with a single use of ThornWhip3, but this of course requires you to have a folder full of nothing but Wood chips, which isn't exactly a wise idea. There is, of course, a Program Advance associated with these chips (in the B and W codes)... Program Advance: ThornMaze Damage: Variable Attribute: Wood Description: Spreads thorny vines over the opponent's entire area. Like magma panels, these will do damage and then vanish, but unlike magma panels, the damage increases per hit. The first will do 20 damage, the next 40, the next 60, and so on - not very damaging if you stay still, but who wants to stand still during a battle? One of the few attacks that gets more effective the less area you have - if you can somehow get your opponent to step on 14 thorn-panels in a row, it's 20+40+60...+280, which equals a whopping 2100 points total - of course, this would be extremely difficult to make happen. ---- Ben Yackley (aka WanderingMind) ben@delyria.com
