7/17/2004 :: This week's episode of Axess #41 was entitled, "Allegro". Beware, spoilers below. No clip this week. I have a feeling next week's clip is gonna suck all the life out of my poor server. There will be a clip next week, oh yes there will....*cackles* Translation help is credited to Josuke and Suraida-chan.

Somewhere far away at a glimmering lighthouse, a familiar voice is singing a very happy tune. Inside the lighthouse's server, our good old friend Shiningman is keeping the other working navis entertained as they keep the light ablaze. Sadly though, Shiningman's song is interrupted when a giant metal claw comes out of nowhere, and kidnaps him!

At the Aquarium, Whaleman is working hard in keeping the systems in order. However much like his friend Shiningman, he too is stolen away by the claw as it drops from the ceiling, then drags him through a black hole up above, and dissappears completely!

Meanwhile, at the Akihara Library, Meiru and Roll are working on their schoolwork. Nearby, a group of boys are making a lot of disturbing noise. One of the kids holds up a gold coin, with an odd "G" engraved on it. Meiru asks Roll if she can help her with her research, so she departs to search for information in the library's data stream.

While Roll plugs in her attenae into the data stream to look for info, Meiru roams the the aisles of the library. Incidently, she runs into Enzan, who was quietly reading a book. After having a cute giggle at his expense for visiting a public library (as opposed to IPC), she asks where Netto has been lately. Enzan reveals that Netto is helping the police in Sharo.

Inside the library's server, Roll is rudely shoved aside by a much larger navi. Roll clutches her antennae as she yells at him, but he just treats her coldly, then begins to access the data stream. When she prepares to leave, she suddenly hears the large navi scream, and sees him being clutched by a giant metal claw then taken away!

Roll immediatly alerts Meiru of the trouble, and Enzan quickly rushes over to a computer to check things out for himself. The two watch as the navi screams to be let go, then eventually disappears into a black hole up above. Meiru asks Enzan what just happened, but he replies that he doesn't know.

Nearby, the navi's operator pounds the computer, demanding that his navi answer him. Sadly, he gets no reply. As he's making a fuss, the gold coin with the "G" imprinted on it falls out of his hand, and rolls its way to Enzan. Up above, a security camera turns its eye on Enzan, who has picked up the coin. Somewhere far away in a darkened room, we see a small robot giggle as it watches Enzan on a monitor.

Back at the Net Police Headquarters, Meijin informs Enzan and Meiru that navis have been dissappearing all over Internet City. They suspect that the Dark Loids are behind the kidnappings, since their Dimensional Converters need navi energy to function.

Meijin hands Enzan a list of navis that have gone missing. Among those are two names he recognizes: Whaleman and Shiningman. Apparantly a lot of the navis that have been taken participated in the N-1 Grand Prix, which means they were all good battlers...

At the lighthouse, Enzan meets up with the operator of Shiningman. The kid responds that he has no idea as to why Shiningman would have been targeted. However, he does mention that he played a certain game at the Game Center with Whaleman's operator. Perhaps the incidents are linked?

We're then taken to a construction site, where the two navis Tsuruhashi (Pickaxe) and Drillman are working away inside the server. As Pickaxe is flailing away at the rocks, he's suddenly sniped from the ground by the giant claws. Likewise, Drillman is also stolen away, and both navis dissappear. (Note: These are the same two navis who Stoneman and Bomberman took out at the N-1 Grand Prix.)

Some time later, Enzan's limo is on scene at the construction site. Wearing cute mettool-like hard hats, Meiru and Enzan question the navi's operators. Again, they report that nothing out of the ordinary has happened to them that would lead to their navis becoming targets. However, one of the men mentions that they had recentely played a game at the Game Center.

Yet another security camera zooms in on Enzan, and we see the strange little robot giggle as it watches via a monitor. Enzan pulls the game coin out of his vest pocket, taking a closer look at it. That is, until the crane holding a large load suddenly lets go, dropping a steel bar straight towards Meiru and Enzan!

Thankfully Enzan notices just in time, and pushes the both of them safely out of the way. Enzan decides to finally go and check out the Game Center personally.

Meiru and Enzan arrive at Game Soul, and find the game which everyone had played. The two watch as a little kid loses a battle against a virus. After the kid leaves, the ranks of the top 10 players is displayed:

1) Gorgeous Man (O_o;;;)
2) Shining Man
3) Plasma Man
4) Drill Mach (Not sure why this is Drill Mach instead of Drill Man)
5) Turuhashader (Likewise, this is suppossed to be Pickaxe, which in Japanese is Tsuruhashi)
6) Air Man (O_o again. Too bad we never see him XD)
7) Whale Man
8) Skeleton Man
9) Hyde-AJ
10) Energie Man (this leads me to believe that no one in this series can spell :P)

Enzan slots in the game coin that he received from the kid earlier in the episode, then asks Meiru if she can enter Roll. Determined that they can win, Meiru plug-in's Roll right away. Stage 1 begins, and Roll deletes the first round of mettool viruses with her default "Heart Slash!" attack.

Meiru and Roll plow their way through the stages (gathering quite the crowd of spectators as they do so), until they finally reach Stage 8. Enzan tells her that this is the last stage, but Meiru becomes worried because Roll's hit points have become very low. Not only that, but the giant Dream Virus is their final opponent!

The giant virus lets out a mighty roar, which frightens Roll. She eventually decides to push away her fear, and fires off a "Plasma Ball!" attack. Unfortunately, it doesn't cause near enough damage to delete the virus, and Roll gets knocked away by a claw-swipe.

The Dream Virus begins to advance on its prey, as Roll struggles to get back to her feet, but can't. Suddenly, a Black Hole activates behind the beast, and sucks it in! Roll sighs in relief as she's declared the winner of the game. Meiru looks slightly confused, until she notices Enzan tuck away his Battle Chip Gate back into his vest.

Afterwards, Enzan and Meiru share a cup of tea at IPC. Meiru picks up her PET, and asks Roll if she's noticed anything in Internet City yet. Roll replies that nothing has happened. She's suddenly alerted when a beeping goes off, which turns out to be Enzan's PET. Meiru lets out a sigh.

After Enzan talks breifly with Meijin, a scream sounds from Meiru's PET. Roll's been kidnapped by the giant claw! The two aren't too upset however: they had planned for this to happen.

Roll comes to, and finds Drillman hovering over her. Roll softly asks where she is. Instead of answering, Drillman asks her if she also had played that game. Roll answers that she did. Drillman then reveals that the navis who won the game, are being kidnapped, then forced into a "test". It's at this moment that Roll realizes that Drillman is covered with many scrapes and bruises.

Roll demands to know how this happened to him, but Drillman is unable to answer. Soon after, Pickaxe materializes behind them, who is also very badly injured. Drillman rushes to his friend's side, then finally explains that they are all being forced into a "Deletion Battle". They are made to battle for the amusement of whomever is behind all of this.

Roll tells the two not to worry, then activates a small device. She explains that this is a "beacon" from IPC, so that her operator and Enzan can find her. True enough, back at IPC, Enzan's computer tracks down Roll's location. The two then rush off quickly towards her location.

Stating that Meiru will surely find her, Roll again reassures the two. Suddenly, Roll begins to glow with a white light, then is transported away! She reappears in the middle of a large battle arena, where her opponent is none other than the large and rude navi who shoved her back at the library.

Roll quite simply states that she absolutely refuses to take part in the deletion battle. However, this leads to her being shocked with a jolt of electricity. A voice from above demands her to fight, or else. Roll staggers back to her feet, and the buzzer sounds to start the battle.

As soon as it does, her opponent (whom I cannot figure out whose name is O_o) activates a flame sword on his right arm. It's then that we see that the sky is littered with every battle chip ever to be imagined, giving the navis an infinite library to fight with. Roll is forced to activate an aqua blade to keep herself from being deleted.

Roll jumps back, and deactivates her sword. She then pleads with her opponent to stop the battle. Sadly though, the other navi believes his only chance of escape is by participating. He activates a flame tower, which forces Roll to counter-attack with an aqua tower.

Meanwhile, the odd Robot who is causing all this, giggles as he watches the duel from his monitor. Determined to make things more lively, he changes the battle field to a lava stage.

The other navi leaps from above, and smashes the ground with his fist just as Roll barely manages to dodge. The heavy impact causes the ground to crumble, and the navi nearly falls into the lava pit below! Thankfully he managed to clutch to the edge with one hand, but still remains in danger as he dangles above the lava.

Roll quickly rushes over and offers a hand of help, but the other navi betrays her as he activates a Noise Storm chip, and blasts her away. As she's falling, the other navi leaps out of the hole, and activates the Yo-Yo chip. The yo-yo is shot straight out, and wraps itself around the pink navi. Roll then cries out as she's dragged to the ground, absolutely helpless.

Enzan and Meiru finally arrive at the building where Roll was located. Inside the arena, Roll is being viciously stepped on by the much larger navi. After he gets tired of his fun, he activates the Seis Hammer chip, and prepares to delete her for good. Just as he brings the hammer crashing down, Meiru's voice shouts out "Dream Aura!", saving Roll's life. She then plugs out her navi to safety.

With their plan completed, Enzan takes off to track down the culprit behind all of this nonsense. He finally kicks open a door, and is ultimately surprised to see a robot standing there. Stating that he'll delete him, the robot activates a Dimensional Area around the building.

Enzan soon finds himself faced with a hoard of mettool viruses. Thankfully he still has the Battle Chip Gate, so he uses a Boomerang chip to delete them all. However, it's then that he notices that the robot has fled during the virus attack. (I absolutely LOVE the music that plays during this scene!)

Enzan notices a door that leads up to the roof, and decides to follow. Once he arrives, he once again finds the robot, who is protected by more viruses. One of which, attacks him almost immediatly, and knocks the Battle Chip Gate right out of his hands. Enzan holds his injured arm as he stares down the laughing robot.

As the robot gloats, Enzan demands to know if he is a part of Nebula. Yelling at him to shut up, the robot then orders the mettool viruses to charge and attack! That is, until a voice activates a Vulcan chip, destroying all of the viruses in one blow. R Rockman and Meiru come running through the back door!

Telling Enzan to leave everything to him, R Rockman activates an Elec Blade, and deletes the rest of the viruses. Before attacking the robot, he demands to know if he is from Nebula. This only causes the robot to begin crying like a little child, which confuses R Rockman. He decides to withdraw his attack, and steps back to join Enzan and Meiru.

As the robot continues to wail, a familar figure steps out into view, and tells the little robot now named "Allegro" to stop crying. (Note: 'Allegro' means a piece of classical music that is played in a fast and energetic way.) R Rockman asks who this newcomer is. The green-haired robot hesitates for a moment, then simply replies: "Gospel."

Everyone is surprised, mostly because Gospel was destroyed a very long time ago. Meiru then mentions that Wily had once said something about Shuryou Gospel, and that he was a robot made by him. Rockman then pipes up, "I understand, Netto-kun! It has to be....!" This clues Netto in, and he finishes Rockman's sentance, ".....Forte!"

Indeed it is, as a brief image of Forte (with zee cloak!) appears over Shuryou, and laughs. Suddenly another voice sounds from behind, stating "Now I see..." It's Dark Blues! Blues had been wondering who else besides Nebula would make a Dimensional Area.

Forte then states that he created Allegro, who is like his little brother, and is a genious at creating Dimensional Areas. As the little robot giggles, Forte then states "However.....", and dives his hand straight in the bot's head. Everyone watches in shock as Forte pulls out the power source from the robot, and crushes it in his hand.

Obviously this angers Rockman and Netto to a high degree, after realizing that the robot was nothing more than a child-like navi. Blues asks Forte how he would feel about joining Nebula, but he's ignored as Forte tells him to dissappear. Blues becomes agitated as the Dimensional Area begins to fade, forcing him to log out. R Rockman is also brought out of Cross Fusion.

(At this point, I am somewhat unclear as to what Forte's real plan is. Something involving the human world, I'm sure. Again, if someone who has seen this episode has a better idea, please let me know and I will correct this. I also believe that Forte is stuck in Shuryou's body as well).

Netto curses his luck, just as Meiru states that Forte is gone, as well as the body of Allegro. Forte's voice booms out from above, threatening the human world, then dissappears for good. Rockman yells out Forte's name in vain.

Forte. >:3

This was a great episode, with some surprising plot development. Though, with the release of the Forte PET toy, this was kind of expected. Next week, chibi Meiru-chan and Netto, and a brand new Cross Fusion! Move over Netto and Enzan, it's time for the girls to shine!
