9/23/2004 :: This week's episode of Axess #50 was entitled, "Battle of Dark vs. Dark". Beware, spoilers below. If there are any translation errors, please let me know, as I did this one on my own. On we go!

At the Science Labs, Blues is going under analyzation to make sure everything is back to where it should be. Likewise, an unconcious Enzan lays still in a hospital bed, with a bandage around his forehead. Netto and his father Yuuichirou watch over him, obviously concerned.

Sitting high and mighty on his cyber throne, Laserman dispatches a multitude of UFOs to go about their business.

Back in the hospital room, Anetta has now joined Netto's side as they watch over Enzan. The door to the room opens, allowing Meiru and Dekao to walk in with a bouqet of flowers. Meiru mentions that Yaito is with them too.....but she's nowhere to be seen! That is, until she pokes her shiny little forehead around the corner.

Yaito calmly walks into the room, her arms behind her back. Following closely behind: an entire enterouge of servants carrying get well gifts! From flowers, to presents....to a chibi plushie of herself! As her gifts are being put in place, Yaito saunters up to Anetta, and looks her square in the face (as best she can, being the shorter of the two).

Yaito stares at the older girl, a dissapproving look on her face. Anetta is obviously confused by Yaito's behavior, having not spent much time with her before. After a moment of speculation, Yaito decides that Anetta's non-shiny forehead is not as spectacular as hers.

Inside the net, Rockman, Glyde and Gutsman have gathered. Rockman then notices that Roll is not with them, and asks why. In fact, Roll and Rush are at Internet City.

Roll tells Rush to hurry up, and quit window shopping, much to the little dog's dissappointment. As Roll continues to complain, a giant bubble suddenly appears out of nowhere and sucks Rush inside! Roll hears Rush's frantic cry, and immediatly looks behind her. It's Bubbleman! The Dark Loid snatches the bubble, and tears off in the opposite direction, with Roll closely in pursuit.

Bubbleman flees down a flight of stairs, leading below the streets. Roll tries to follow, but gets cut off when a gate slams closed in her face. Roll pounds on the gate with her fists, demanding, "Open up! What are you planning to do to Rush?!"

Bubbleman arrives in an unknown part of the net, triumphant with his bubble filled with Rush. "Shademan-sama! I did it-puku! It's in here!" Bubbleman holds up his prize, offering it to his master who stands before him. Shademan swipes his long bat arms around them both, and they walk off into the depths of the net.

Meanwhile, in Internet City, a rumbling begins to sound throughout the streets. It's the UFOs from Laserman! One by one they begin to suck up a multitude of navis that come across the path of their traction beams. At the Science Labs, Yuuichirou informs Netto that the Japan site is being sucked dry.

"Do you remember?", he asks. Netto nods, recalling the UFO from way back in Episode 2. Meijin reports that UFOs are appearing not only in Japan, but all over the world. (Strangely enough the show a map of the continents, that is the exact same as our own. In EXE4 the map was very different) In Ameroupe, Thunderman and Raoul try to thwart the attack, but don't have enough power to even singe the UFOs. Eventually Thunderman is the only one left alive in the entire net city of his homeland.

Yuuichirou states that the Net Police have been notified, and everyone has been ordered to plug-out of Internet City immediatly. However, it's already too late. The UFOs leave as quickly as they came, leaving not a soul behind. Meijin confirms that it was most likely Nebula behind the attack, because they use Navi energy to power their Dimensional Converters.

Meiru suddenly bursts into the room, exclaiming "There's trouble, Netto!" Netto asks what's the matter, and Meiru informs him that Rush has been kidnapped. Inside the net, Rockman, Roll, Gutsman and Glyde stand outside the gate that had blocked Roll's path.

Rockman: "This is the place?"
Roll: "Yes...this is where Bubbleman ran away!"

Gutsman reels back his fist, stating "Leave it to me de gutsu!", then uses his Guts Punch to knock a solid hole through the gate. Rockman gives a quick "Lets go!" as the four of them run off in pursuit of their stolen friend.

They come upon a security hole in the internet, and conclude that Bubbleman must have gone that way. Continuing on, they find hole after hole in the firewalls as they follow the Dark Loid's path....which happens to be leading towards the Science Labs. They eventually come upon a very large room with a strange looking pillar in the middle.

In front of that said pillar....is Shademan and Bubbleman! Everyone is also shocked to see Rush clamped onto the pillar directly! What in the world could they be up to?

Unfortunately, nothing good. Bubbleman starts to blurt out their plan, until Shademan quickly instructs him to shut up. Rockman demands the return of their friend, but Shademan will hear nothing of it. "You're too late!" he states with a sick smile, raising his long arms above his head.

The rotating pillar begins to ignite with electricity, pouring its strength into the poor dog. Rush begins to glow with a bright light, until he suddenly dissappears completely! Tiny glittering specks of his data rise into the air, and flow directly into Shademan's palm, forming an odd looking battle chip.

Everyone is absolutely appalled at Rush's dismal fate, unbelieving at what Shademan just did. Rockman suddenly realizes that this was exactly why Shademan wanted to be inside the Science Lab's system....to use it's own abilities against itself, and create a new kind of chip....the Rush Synchro Chip!

Shademan confirms Rockman's suspicions, stating that he needed the Cross Fusion data to complete his plan. The Dark Loid clamps both of his fists around the chip, "This....Rush Synchro Chip....is mine!" With a menancing laugh, a bright light bursts from his closed hands, blinding the other navis. A moment later, Shademan reappears....in the real world!

Shademan appears directly in front of Meijin, Yuuichirou, Netto, Dekao, Yaito and Meiru, who had been monitering inside the Science Labs. Yuuichirou is absolutely stunned, because there's no Dimensional Area activated to allow this to happen! Shademan finally opens his eyes, and realizes with a gleeful laugh that his plan was a complete success.

With a swipe of his hand, parts of the Science Labs begin to explode! However, Shademan still has something else to accomplish...a plot of revenge that's been brewing inside him. The Dark Loid then spreads his arms, and disintegrates into hundreds of bats, fleeing the building as they burst through the roof.

Back inside the net, Bubbleman is having a jiffy little laugh of his own. His master has been successful! His happiness sort of dissapates however when he realizes that Shademan has left him completely behind. ^_^; Whoops. Finding four very angry navis staring him down, Bubbleman makes a quick and hasty escape.

Regal Petroleum Industry is currently under attack, its large buildings exploding one after another. Somewhere else far away, Regal's Vessal also bursts into flames! Netto, Meijin and Yuuichirou watch the incidents from the Science Labs. Meijin informs thems that Shademan is destroying absolutely anything that contains Dr. Regal's name, no matter how small or ridiculus it may be.

Shademan watches the flames of destruction from a rooftop, yelling out "Now what will you do, Dr. Regal?!" An omnious voice suddenly sounds it behind him: it's Laserman! Shademan wastes no time in delving his claws straight into his mortal enemy, only to find his attack pass through all too easily.

Shademan: "Tche...a hologram?"
Laserman: "Dr. Regal is waiting in Japan."
Shademan: "Japan...? Japan you say?!"

With this final statement, Laserman then dissappears. Shademan jumps away just as quickly, making a beeline back to Japan. Again, anything with Regal's name upon it (such as Regal Barger O_o lol) begins to fall into a path of destruction. Shademan walks out of the dust of debris, furiously yelling "Where are you, Dr. Regal?!"

Shademan lifts up a car by digging his claws into it, then tosses it to the other side of the street, resulting in another explosion. Building after building is utterly destroyed as Shademan continues his frantic rampage across the city. Yuuichirou and Meijin watch helplessly from the Science Labs. Meijin then mentions that mayhaps they can use the Vaccine Chip to subdue the Dark Loid.

Inside his hospital room, Enzan finally stirs awake, obviously in great pain. He sits up in his bed, noticing the destruction befalling his city outside the windows. Anetta rushes to his side, just as he grabs the battle chip gate from beside his bed. "I have to stop Shademan..." he states, but Anetta reminds him that he's in no state to do so. True to her words, Enzan nearly collapses, forcing Anetta to catch him.

Shademan once again demands to know Dr. Regal's whereabouts. As if an answer to his question, a large assembly of vans begin to surround the Dark Loid. Obviously confused, Shademan only watches as the vans set themselves into a perfect circle.

Yuuichirou: "Dimensional Converters, Activate!"

The vans raise the large converters from their levers, which have been built onto their roofs.

Yuuichirou: "Dimensional Area, Activate!"

Following his command, the Dimensional Converts are powered up, and quickly form a Dimensional Area. It's at this point that Shademan realizes that he's been completely trapped inside! He forcibly punches the DA wall, and finds he can't break it.

Meijin wastes no time in locking on to their target, and creates a battle chip gate inside the area. He immediatly fires off the Vaccine Chip, but Shademan blocks it easily! Again and again Meijin fires the chip, which is endlessly cast aside by Shademan. The Dark Loid eventually gets fed up with the assault, and crushes the battle chip gate in his hand.

Ultimately pissed off by now, Shademan once again punches the DA wall...and this time nearly breaks through. The Dimensional Converters begin to overheat as they strain to keep the DA activated. Shademan begins to laugh insanely....until someone calls his name. It's Netto!

Netto stands at the very top of a ruined highway, staring down with determination at the Dimensional Area. Yuuichirou is more than happy to see his son, as is Meijin. Netto gives a smirk, then leaps down from his post, rollarblading at a rapid speed. Holding out his PET, he preforms Cross Fusion as he breaks through the DA wall.

It's R Rockman against Shademan, as they stare each other down inside the Dimensional Area. R Rockman starts things off by using the Mega Cannon chip, followed by the Super Vulcan. As the smoke clears, R Rockman sees that Shademan is still completely unharmed. Refusing to give up, he activates the Long Blade on his right arm, and charges full force.

Shademan retaliates with his "Crush Noise!", throwing R Rockman completely off his feet. Suddenly a new battle chip is activated, "Stone Cube!" The cube dissappears before it does much good, but it allows Shademan to notice someone else outside the Dimensional Area wall. Enzan!

With his arm around Anetta's shoulders for support, Enzan is fully dressed again and holding his Battle Chip Gate. (though he still has the bandages around his forehead) The distraction allows R Rockman to throw in a punch at Shademan, but the bigger navi simply catches his arm and tosses him yet again.

Interrupting their fight, Bubbleman appears as well! "Shademan-sama! Bubbleman has arrived de puku! What are you orders de puku?!" The wee navi then notices R Rockman laying on the ground, so he takes it upon himself to start stomping away at him. (stupid coward >_<; hate Bubbleman)

As the assault continues on R Rockman thanks to Bubbleman, he begins to show signs of falling out of Cross Fusion. Enzan yells Netto's name from the outside, by the overexcitement causes him to collapse again. Shademan walks up to the Dimensional Area wall, and places his hands on it, attempting to break through again.

Much to Yuuichirou's horror, the Dimensional Converters begin to crack from the energy strain. Eventually they explode, which causes the Dimensional Area to fail and slowly fade away. This of course makes Netto fall out of Cross Fusion, but thankfully also forces Bubbleman to log out. However, Netto soon finds Shademan standing directly over him, rightfully angry.

Shademan raises his claws, prepared to finally kill of Hikari Netto at last. Both Enzan and Yuuichirou yell out to Netto, unable to do anything to help him. Just as he's about to strike....Dr. Regal's image appears in the sky!

Having finally found what he was looking for, Shademan quickly forgets about Netto. Dr. Regal then says that he can be found at Regal Tower. True enough, a tall building crashes to the ground, only to be replaced by a much larger tower. The crowd watches in shock as a multitude of Dimensional Converters begin to pop out of the sides of the tower, and create a Dimensional Area that covers the entire world!

Shademan stands before the giant glowing tower, gritting his teeth in frustration. He leaps upwards to get a better view, which finally allows Yuuichirou to rush over to his son, who is laying motionless on the ground with a blank expression. He takes Netto in his arms, asking if he's alright. Netto finally comes back to his senses, and turns his line of sight towards Regal Tower.

Far above on one of the ledges of the tower, stands Dr. Regal himself. (When did he get back from space?) Shademan lands on a rooftop, and stares down his opponent, with a very drawn out "Doooctoor Reeegaaal" Dr. Regal finally opens his eyes, and the Dark Loid wastes no time in attacking with all his fury. The strike hits a part of the tower, resulting in much dust and debris. Dr. Regal, however, remains unphased.

At this time Bubbleman decides to pop in, announcing his arrival once again. However, this time, he notices that Shademan is completely ignoring him. Bubbleman realizes the importance of Shademan's rematch with Dr. Regal, so he quietly logs himself out, leaving things be. (Finally someone smart enough to run away. Go figure it'd be Bubbleman of all people.)

High above, and not so far away, Shuryou / Forte watches intently. Netto and Enzan arrive by car to a closer location near the tower, and gaze up upon it. Netto finally notices that Dr. Regal is really on the tower itself. It's going to be an all out battle between Dr. Regal and Shademan! Sure enough, furiously yelling "Lets go, REGAL!", Shademan leaps off with the direct intent to kill.

Dr. Regal simply laughs as the Dark Loid comes straight at him, which leads to the end of this episode. Only one more to go!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So. Almost at the end! This episode was alright, just nothing too overly exciting. Regal and Laserman are the only ones left of Nebula, which doesn't leave much room for anyone else to jump in. Somehow a battle between Regal and Shademan seems something better suited for a side plot rather than the series finale. In any case, it all ends next week! (or at this time, tomorrow XD) Yet another new Cross Fusion (like we didn't see that one coming), and an ending that will lead directly into the new series of Stream. Don't miss it!
