Laika/Searchman Cross Fusion Episode Premiered In: Episode 17, "The Nightmare Again" Following Appearances: Episode 18, 26, 41, 42, 48, 50, 51 Activation: Laika's jump into the ability of Cross Fusion very much came as a surprise. We came to know Laika as a man who hated the dependance on using raw strength, instead of your own smarts and wits. However, it seems that the threat of the Asteroid Navis has convinced him that it's time to join Netto and Enzan in their battle against evil. This decision results in Laika being marked by Duo as one of the saviors of Earth. Special Attributes: Like in Netto and Enzan's case, Cross Fusion can only be initiated when Laika's surroundings are covered by a "Dimensional Area" dome. This feature merges both the net and real life together, thus allowing navis to transfer to the real world. Cross Fusion allows Laika and Searchman to merge into one being, and fight together. Gained Attacks: Laika still uses Battle Chips as usual, which are slotted into his PET before he initiates the Cross Fusion transformation. However, Laika actually gains many default attacks that are usually attributed to Searchman. These include Scope Gun (which can also be charged to be more powerful), Search Grenades, and the ability to cloak himself to the point of invincibility. Disadvantages: If Laika and Searchman are ever arguing or not getting along together, Cross Fusion is not possible. The Operator and Navi MUST be in perfect harmony in order for the transformation to take place. Also, since Laika and Searchman merge, this brings Laika's body into possible danger, which cannot be repaired like a Navi's data.
